I have layers. If you cut your hair shoulder length and let it dry natural after washing, It gets all these pretty flips and curls from hanging all over your shoulders (or so I've been told they're pretty)

i have a round head too, and i have long layers that i can do tossled waves, and i also have a side sweep bang. it looks really good. yea i get layers around the face, and then throughout the hair so you can play with it. i can wear my hair straight, wavy, tight curls, or pretty much anything. layers are really great. hope this was of some help.
