Getting Married need hair help ?

Hi im getting married Im going to see the lady who is doing my hair tonight, She also cuts hair as well. The thing is my hair is really thick and just below my shoulders. Im wanting to get it cut before the wedding maybe a few layers, Do you think this is a good idea to do it get it cut now then in the same night have my trial for the hair for my wedding day. Or get it cut and see if I like it in that syle and then go back in a few weeks for the hair trial. Im getting married in July.

Its just Im wanting to have my hair down for the wedding but I know it isnt cut into any style just straight thick and boring. What do you think I should do ?

Thanks for your advice.

My sister has the same hair type and she wore her's down at her wedding, without cutting, layers etc. Her hair curls relatively easily so the stylist set it in thick curls and they hung beautifully all day.

The problem you may have is, if you cut your hair now and the style doesn't warrant you wearing your hair down, what are you going to do? The stylist should be able to guide you in the right direction as long as you are specific about what you want.

One suggestion, as July is a while off perhaps gradually cut your hair (if that is what you want to do %26amp; if it is difficult to curl or style in any way), that way in case you do decide on an "upstyle" it won't be cut too short

You could always dress the hair with accessories. I saw a lady with long hair that had little tiny white flowers in it and it looked so classy and understated.

I wouldnt risk changing your hair if you like it but you could always have some waves put in it and some flowers too.

you can cut it if you want anytime but try opting for a really pretty updo!!

It's always a good idea to try out any drastic changes (cut, color, etc) with plenty of time for it to grow back, etc before the wedding. I would definately get it cut now (if you want it cut different for the wedding) so you can see if you like it. If she has the time tonight, I would have her try the style out tonight, but I would also ask if you can come back closer to the wedding for another trial run. Summer humidity, length of you hair, etc may make the style work differently in a couple months.

I think you could have a few long layers put in it if it's very thick. Just dont let her cut too much, be definite about what you want. I had my hair half up for my wedding, it was just past the top of my shoulders. The hairdresser took pieces from the top and sides and kind of weaved it and pinned it with little hair pins with pearl and diamante at the ends but only about 6 so not over the top. It looked really nice as I didnt want it all up this was a compromise. Good Luck.

cut your hair in layers, it will take some of the bulk and heaviness out of your hair. if you do wear it down it wont look boring with layers. It will look just as good with an updo.
