I need help deciding on a hair style.?

I am male. I have long, thick, straight-to-wavy hair. And an oval face.

I am trying to look for a style that is for long hair. I am in a band so I am looking for something a little more "edgy." But also a hairstyle I can still go to school with.

Anyways, any suggestions/pictures would be cool.

Also: not a fan of "emo" cuts. I don't do black hair.
