well i have an afro, about 3inches all round, and i want a change, i was thinking of doin the 360 waves but for some reason, when my hair is long it looks coarse afro hair but when cut short it looks straight so i dont like risking cutting it very short. Any suggestions on any lotion or anything that will help my hair look extremely curly/coarse when it is short?
The Jermaine Pennant idea i thought was quite a good idea but since his are short dreads, to take them out i would have to cut my hair.
please give me some suggestions.

I think the top section of his hair is dread-locked. So for that to even work, your hair should be relatively short. Not longer than penant's. If it is indeed dread-lock you can temporarily do that with wax. It might be good to ask a hairstyle when you're getting ur next cut.
1. Gel/ Wax your hair upwards. While twisting section by section.
2. For the dreadlock part, twist until your hair feels thick and robust.
2. Use a hair dryer to dry the wax right after u finished. to lock the dreadlocks in place.
